Mr. J. R. Henderson, one of the best known and most popular citizens of Bartow county, died at his home, near Stilesboro, on Tuesday, the 24 th ult. Mr. Henderson had been in feeble health for some time and his death was not unexpected to his family and his friends. He was a good citizen and his life was full of kind acts and good deeds. He was especially generous to the poor and his acts of charity were many. Mr. Henderson was an old vet of the gray and as a soldier none did better service for his country. A large number of persons from this city went out to attend his funeral, which occurred on Wednesday.

Mr. J. R. Henderson, a valuable and highly esteemed citizen of the Stilesboro district, died at his home near that place on Monday.
