Hill Conyers, a negro lad about ten years old, was killed on the farm of Mr. James M. Field, on Tuesday evening.  He was playing around a cotton press and in some way or other one of the blocks attached to the press dropped out on the boy, breaking his jaw bone and fracturing his skull.  He lingered a short while when death relieved him of his sufferings.
