Sad Affliction of Rev. Mr. Hillhouse.

The trite old saying that “misfortunes never come singly” is fully corroborated in the case of Rev. Mr. Hillhouse, the beloved pastor of the Presbyterian church at this place.  It was only a few weeks ago his aged father passed over to the majority after a long life of usefulness, and now on the heels of this great affliction he is called to the bedside of his beloved mother and younger brother.  Both died Monday in a few hours of each other.  Marcus, the young brother, was 23 years of age, a noble Christian and when the grim monster beckoned he found him ready to go.  Mr. Hillhouse has the condolence of our people in his sad bereavement.
