Death of a Child. The many friends of Mr. T. W. H. Harris in this community will be pained to hear of the death of his infant son, Hamilton Hillyer, which occurred in Rome on Friday evening last. No words we could here write could, in the least, assuage the grief of the young parents over the death of their idolized first-born. It is only left for us to offer the tenderest sympathy of a sincere heart. May those “who weep be as though they wept not” for “it is well with the child.” “It died ere its expanding soul Had ever burned with wrong desires; Had ever spurned at Heaven’s control, Or ever quench’d its sacred fires.” |
