Mrs. Hoss, wife of Major Jacob Hoss, of Floyd county, and mother of Mrs. James M. Elliott and grandmother of Mrs. John C. Printup, of this city, died Sunday morning, aged 96 years. She was an excellent lady, well beloved by all who knew her; was a consistent member of the Methodist church. Her remains were interred in Silver Creek church yard yesterday afternoon at two o’clock. We sympathize with the bereaved in this hour of distress.—Rome Courier.
