Death of Judge Howard.

Judge J. A. Howard died at his home in this city on Tuesday last, after a lingering illness of several weeks, and was laid to rest in Oakland cemetery the following day.

Judge Howard was one of our best known and most popular citizens, having held the office of Ordinary for twenty-four years—performing his duties with the most scrupulous care and winning the confidence of all. His familiar face will be greatly missed on our streets.

The bereaved family have the hearty sympathy of entire community.
