Miss Nellie Jackson Buried Monday At Adairsville

Miss Nellie Mae Jackson, a resident of Adairsville for many years, and who had been confined to a Rome nursing home for the past 14 years, passed away Saturday.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. William Jackson and a brother who was the late Harrison Jackson, who passed away in 1933.

Survivors include six brothers, McKinley Jackson of Griffin, Ben, Hollywood, Fla.; Bernard, Adairsville; Joe B., Atco; John and Howard, Adairsville; a sister, Mrs. Troy Towe, Adairsville.

For many years she had been a member of the Adairsville Christian Church where funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock with the Rev., S. N. Snow officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. J. Millsap.  Interment followed in the Oothcalooga Cemetery with Barton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: John Jackson, Charles Jackson, Douglas Jackson, Robert Jackson, Robert Kimsey and Lamar Towe.
