Death of Will Henry Johnson.
Well Known and Popular Young Man Passes Away Last Saturday.

A sad death occurred at the Hyatt Hotel last Saturday afternoon, that of Mr. Will Henry Johnson, son of Dr. Lindsay Johnson.  He had been in bad health for about a year and no one ever had better care and attention than Dr. and Mrs. Johnson bestowed on him.  His malady was a stubborn one, however, a form of tuberculosis, which finally closed the air passages of the throat, and he gradually grew worse until the end came.  He bore his afflictions with marvelous cheerfulness, the outcome of a genial and happy disposition which he was known to possess.

Mr. Johnson was about 30 years of age.  He was born in Cartersville, moved with his father to Rome and then back to Cartersville when his father returned.  He leaves, besides his father and stepmother, one brother, Mr. Yandle Johnson, who has been for some time in the United States army, and a sister, Mrs. Conyers Fite, lately located with her husband near the California coast in Pacific waters.  Will Henry was of an extremely genial and friendly nature and easily made warm friends of those with whom he associated.  His death has cast a shadow of sorrow among these, who deplore his going away as he was barely on the threshold of manhood.  The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all in their loss.

The funeral occurred from the residence of Judge A. W. Fite at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Sam C. Dean, pastor of the Baptist church, conducting the services. The remains were interred at Oak Hill.
