Aged Woman, Who Died in Calhoun, Laid to Rest Here

The body of Miss Miriam Johnston, seventy years of age, who died at the home of her nephew, Mr. J. D. Keever in Calhoun Monday morning, was brought to Cartersville Tuesday morning and laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery after funeral services conducted by Rev. H. F. Bell, pstor of First Baptist Church of Calhoun.

Miss Johnston was born September 16, 1855 in Milton County. When she was quite young, her parents moved to Bartow County where the greater part of her life was spent in and near Cartersville. She was a life long and consistent member of the Baptist Church and was a most exemplary character.

She is survived by one brother Mr. C.F. Johnston of Sperry, Oklahoma and Mrs. Lois Keever of Cartersville.

Rev. Mrs. Bell, Mrs. T. J. Campion, Mrs. R.B. Holding, and Mr. J.W. Ray of Calhoun and Mrs. Walker Adams of Jackson were among the out of town attendants at the funeral Tuesday evening.
