Death of Judge James C. Jones.

We regret to chronicle the death of one of our oldest and most respected citizens, in the person of the above named gentleman, who departed this life at half past eight o’clock on Monday night last.  His death was the result of a second attack of apoplexy.  He was taken ill on Thursday of last week.  He was buried from the M. E. Church at 10 o’clock yesterday and was followed to his grave by a large concourse of our citizens.  He leaves a wife and many dear relatives and friends to mourn his loss.  Peace to his ashes.

When thoroughly at himself, before he was attacked with paralysis, he was one of the best business men, and was beloved and highly respected by all who knew him well. His place will not be easily supplied.
