Mrs. R. L. Jones Dead.

The Sad Event Occurred on Sunday Last at Her Home in This City.

Mrs. Jennie E. Jones, the wife of Mr. R. L. Jones, died at her home in Cartersville, Sunday evening last at 3:30 o’clock. She was ill about six weeks and physician pronounced her trouble gastritis.

Mrs. Jones was originally Miss Jennie Monfort. She was born at Prior’s Station, in Polk county, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Monfort. She was married to Mr. Jones about eighteen years and except a year they spent in Alabama, has lived with her husband in this community ever since.

She was a member of the Methodist church, and was a devoted Christian. As a wife and mother she was dutiful, amiable and kind, and bent her best energies to make the home life of her own what it should be in all respects. She leaves a husband and five children, three boys and two girls, and by these she will be sadly missed; one brother and two sisters survive her. They are Mr. J. A. Monfort, of this city, Misses Sallie Monfort, of Polk county, and Miss Willie Monfort of Crawford, GA.

The funeral took place at 3:30 o’clock on Monday, rev. B. P. Allen, officiating.

The remains were interred at Oak Hill.
