Lee Jones Improving Mr. Lee Jones, who was so badly hurt in an auto wreck that he lost his left arm three weeks ago, is now able to be out, and this week picked cotton on the P. Frank Smith place in the Smithville School District. [NOTES: Mr. Jones amputated arm was buried at Macedonia Cemetery.] ************************ Herald Tribune Robert Lee Jones, age 85, of 4880 Bartow Street, Acworth, died Monday, April 24, 1978 Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Etta Abernathy Jones; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Barron, Miss Lily Anny Jones, all of Acworth, Mrs. Pauline Vaughn of Cartersville; son, John Willie Jones of Acworth; sister, Mrs. Mary Etta Cox of Acworth; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 27 at 2 p.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. W.D. Howell, Rev. Ben Hite and Rev. Tom Bill Blackburn officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. [NOTES: Buried at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Son of William Jones and Lilly Abernathy Jones.]
