“Corbin.”

On Tuesday, 18 th inst. our community was horror stricken by the sudden death of one of our best girls, Belle Keown. She was about 22, she joined the Baptist church several years ago, has been not only a member but a Christian. Her remains were laid to rest in the old furnace cemetery on Wednesday at 3 p. m. A large attendance, though the rain was falling fast. Her funeral will be preached at Double Springs on the 3d Sunday in May, by Bro. A. J. McCoy. She was endowed by nature with amiability and gentle disposition and a charming grace and dignity of person and manner which are seldom equaled. This is the third daughter of Mr. John Keown which has died in less then two years.
