Knight Funeral

James Andrew Knight, 92, of the Center Community, died Saturday after a long illness.

A native of Bartow County, Mr. Knight was a Baptist, and was a retired miner.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Culver, Route 2, Cartersville; two sons, Luther Knight, Cartersville, and Ralph Knight, Route 2; a brother Wesley Knight, Augusta; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Center Baptist Church. Rev. Pat Kennedy officiated and burial was in Center Cemetery.

[NOTES: James is actually buried in the Church of God of the Union Assembly (near Center).  James was the son of James Monroe Knight and Eliza Jane Abernathy.  His wife was Prudy Johnsey.
