Mrs. J. A. Knight, of Route 2, Cartersville, died Tuesday evening following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday from the Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Pat Kennedy officiating. Interment was be [sic] in the Center Church of God cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carl Culver; two sons, Ralph Knight and Luther Knight, both of Cartersville; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, T. E. Johnsey, Cartersville; several nieces and nephews. Grandsons served as pallbearers and included Lamar Knight, Billy Knight, Harry Knight, Marvin Knight; Sonny Culver and Cliff Culver. Mrs. Knight was a native of Bartow County and was a daughter of the late J. T. and Nanny Cook Johnsey. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Knight, in 1970. |
