James Lamar (Bucky) Knight, 56, of Dogwood Drive, Cartersville, died Monday, October 30, 2006.

Mr. Knight was born May 09, 1950, in Bartow County, the son of Herman and Lillie Mae Lanham Knight.  He was employed at Chemical Products, was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce Jenkins.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Louise Knight of Cartersville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jason Lamar and Kay Knight of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Christopher Brian and Hollie Knight of Cartersville; two brothers, Jerry Don Knight of Cartersville, Joel Dean (Sonny) Knight of Indiana; two sisters, Joann Perry and Janet Martin of Cartersville; a brother-in-law, Layton Jenkins of Cartersville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Jacobs and the Rev. Barry McCullough officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Shelton, Ronald Williams, Charles Howell, Mickey Perry, Danny Martin and Michael Knight.
