DIED,

Near Alatoona, Cass county, on the morning of the 5th inst., after a long and protracted illness, which she bore with Christian fortitude and resignation, Mrs. NANCY LACKEY, aged about 74 years.  For near ten months she had been confined to her bed with inflammatory rheumatism, but the immediate cause of her disease was a hemorrhage of the lungs, doubtless occasioned by seated consumption.  She left the unspeakable satisfaction to her friends and relatives, that she died in the triumphs of the Christian’s faith, and that she was going to reap the great reward in the mansions of eternal bliss, exhorting her children and friends to meet her in that world where friends shall part no more.
