Mrs. Latimer Dead. Mrs. Latimer the mother of Mrs. Wm. H. Felton, died in Atlanta a few days ago. Mrs. Felton and her son, Dr. Howard Felton, went down to the funeral. The Atlanta Journal has this regarding Mrs. Latimers death: Mrs. Eleanor A. Latimer, mother of Mrs. W. H. Felton of Cartersville and Mrs. M. L. McLendon, of this city, died rather unexpectedly this morning at 6:30 o’clock at the home of the latter, 139 Washington street. She was eighty five years of age. Up to last Tuesday morning Mrs. Latimer appeared to be in her usual good health, which was remarkable for one of her age. Tuesday night she was taken with bronchitis, but it was not thought at that time that her condition was a precarious one. There was no perceptible change for the worse this morning, when those about her bedside saw that death was near at hand. Death came peacefully, and she was conscious to the last. The death of Mrs. Latimer will cause sorrow wherever she was known. |
