Mrs. Lipscomb Services Are Held Tuesday

Mrs. Georgia Cleo Moore Lipscomb, 72, of near Cartersville, died at her home at 11 p.m., Sunday, February 22, after a two weeks’ illness.

Born in Bartow county September 17, 1880, she was a daughter of John B. and Sara Frances Gaines Moore. She and W.C. Lipscomb were married 50 years ago. She was a member of the Cassville Baptist church.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, at the Cassville Baptist church, with the Rev. Ralph Kimsey and the Rev. M.W. Hart officiating. Interment was in the Cassville cemetery.

Survivors include, besides the husband, four sons, Garnett Lipscomb, Lincoln Park, Mich.; John L. Lipscomb, Rydal, Ga.; W.C. Lipscomb, Jr., U.S. Navy in California, and Joe Lipscomb, Cassville; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis Cox, Cartersville, Mrs. Bill Worley, Cassville, and Mrs. James Goss, El Paso, Texas; one sister, Miss Pearl Moore, Cartersville; several grandchildren and a few great grandchildren.
