Death of an Old Citizen.

One by one the old landmarks are disappearing.  On the 13th inst., JAMES LOCKRIDGE, of this county died.  He had lived in this county since 1840, where he had been well known and greatly respected.  He was a consistent member of the Baptist church, having united with the old Pettitt’s creek church in 1845, and has been a deacon for thirty years.  The deceased was born in Abbeville district, S. C., Jan. 1, 1815, and would have been sixty-five next January.  We sympathize with his family and relatives in their sad loss.
