Hall’s Mill. Last Saturday and Sunday was the regular appointment for preaching at the M. E. Church at this place; but in consequence of the sickness and death of the pastor’s father, he did not reach his appointment until Sunday morning, after the services had been commenced by Rev. Mr. Alston, of Fulton county, who preached a splendid sermon, from Ps. 1:1. He beautifully portrayed the evil influence of an ungodly life. At the close Rev. Mr. Lowe spoke feelingly of the triumphant death of his father, and it is to be hoped that lasting impressions for good were made. |
