William H. Martin, Famous Texas Congressman Who Blew Out Gas.

Houston, Tex., Feb. 7.—Former representative William H, Martin died near Hillsboro today of pneumonia.

He was born in Barbour county, Alabama, in 1823, and studied law in Troy in the same state. He moved to Texas in 1850, and was elected to the State Senate in 1853. [Article continues]
