Mr. Wayne William Matthes, 65, of 313 Lower Burris Road, Canton, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Glasgow, Kentucky.

He was born May 18, 1933, in Ohio, son of Evelyn Flick Matthes and the late Fred Matthes. Mr. Matthes was an engineer for Federal Mogul. He was of the Lutheran Faith and a member of the Elk Lodge. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Armed Forces. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Campbell, of Cartersville; one son, Kenneth Wayne Matthes, of Marietta; his mother, Evelyn Matthes; one grandchild, Amanda Dawn Schrader.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Polzin officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

The Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
