“Dalton and Vicinity.” Mr. JAMES B. McCAULEY, father of Mrs. Rosa A. Hanbury, of Dalton, died of yellow fever in Memphis on the 31st of August, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. M. J. Messenger, who is well known to the Press of the ‘Old Dominion.’ His old friends in Petersburg, Va., will regret to hear of his death. He was a genial old-time Virginian and the thousands in Petersburg who have known him and enjoyed his hospitality for the past fifty years will regret his demise. A good man has fallen. May the sod rest lightly above his breast. |
