Death of Mr. M.P. McEwen

Mr. Matthew P. McEwen died at the home of his brother, Mr. Charles McEwen, Wednesday morning, October 25th, 1905 and was buried the following day in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. McEwen was fifty-nine years old and had never been married. He was born and had spent most of his life in Tennessee, but for several years past had made his home with his brother in Cartersville.

Mr. McEwen was a member of the Presbyterian church, and was a quiet, unassuming Christian gentleman. The funeral services occurred at the home of Mr. Charles McEwen and were conducted by Rev. W.A. Cleveland.
