Mrs. Milam

The widow of Mr. Riley Milam Dies at Home of Her Son.

Mrs. Martha Milam died at the home of her son, Mr. Fred Milam, in this city, on Friday morning last at about five o’clock, from paralysis, from which she had been a sufferer for some time.

Mrs. Milam was the wife of the late Mr. Riley Milam, who died some four years ago, and who was one of the most honorable and substantial citizens of Bartow County. Their home was at Stilesboro, but about one year ago Mrs. Milam came to Cartersville with her son, Mr. Fred Milam. She was a sister of Dr. W. L. Kirkpatrick. She was the mother of seven children, who are all living—Mrs. Boler, Mrs. Wallace, Mrs. John Hammond, Miss Allie Milam, Messrs. H. H., John and Fred Milam.

Mrs. Milam was a member of the Presbyterian church and her life was full of good deeds and she died as one confident of the fulfillments of the promises of the Redeemer to the faithful.

The funeral occurred at the Presbyterian church at Euharlee, on Saturday morning, and the remains were interred at the Euharlee cemetery. Rev. E. M. Craig officiated at the funeral service.
