Death of An Aged, Good Woman.

Mrs. Sarah Montgomery died at the home of her son, Col. J. G. Montgomery, in this city, at 7 o’clock last Friday morning in her 83rd year. She had been in feeble health for a number of years. She had been a member of the Baptist church for over 60 years and was, veritably, a “Mother in Israel,” living a pure Christian life which was ever a shining example to those who would serve aright the great King and Heavenly Master. Her funeral took place from Col. Montgomery’s residence on Saturday morning, Rev. W. H. Cooper, assisted by Rev. R. B. Headden, of Rome, conducting the services.
