Old Hamp is Dead.

Hamp Morris, an old darkey with a peg leg, who has been a familiar figure about the streets of Cartersville, died on Tuesday evening of pneumonia, with which he had been sick only a few days. Old Hamp lived near the city and for years has been wont to drive into town daily with an ox and a crude two wheel cart and carry away swill and vegetable refuse which he fed to porkers, which he killed and their meat furnished him his chief annual revenue. Many a stranger has halted, through curiosity and viewed the quaint turnout and driver on their usual round.
