“Kingston.”

Mrs. S. C. Murchison, widow of Duncan Murchison, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Thomas, at Durant, Miss., on the 21st inst. Mrs. Thomas arrived on the 22d with her dear old mother, and Sunday the remains were conveyed to the old Murchison homestead and interred by the side of her husband. Mr. John Murchison, of Cartersville, met the remains here and had the grave ready. Rev. R. P. Martyn conducted a short service at the grave. Grandma Murchison was very old. She was a good woman, a pure Christian had been a great pillar in the Methodist Episcopal church south for many years. Truly a mother in Israel has gone to her reward.
