“Over the County--Adairsville.”

That dread disease, pneumonia, entered the home of Mr. James Pickard and took as its victim the beloved wife of Mr. Pickard, on the night of the 7 th. Besides her husband she left several children, all of whom have the heartfelt sympathy of all the community in this their sad bereavement. Mrs. Pickard was a noble, Christian woman, and was much beloved by all who knew her, and she will be sadly missed. Her mother, Mrs. Slaughter, is very low with paralysis and has not been informed of the sad event.
