Just before going to press we learn that a terrible encounter happened in the hotel at Adairsville, in which one Platter a sleight of hand performer, was killed by Jim Suggs, his assistant. The accused was immediately arrested and lodged in our county jail. The coroner left on the 10:20 freight to investigate the matter. |

He married his wife in Butler, Bates Co., MO. His wife was the only witness to the murder and testified in the trial of Samuel L. Suggs.] |
