Henson Popham, 66, of Euharlee Road, Cartersville, died Saturday, March 20, 1999. Mr. Popham was born July 18, 1932 in Bartow County, a son of the late George Clarence Henson and Gertrude Waddell Popham. He was of the Baptist faith and a painter. Survivors include his wife, Louise Popham; children Dennis and Janice Worthington; grandchildren, Brandy and Cory Worthington and Tim and Van Payne; sisters, Ruby Popham and Margaret Popham of Euharlee and Ann Popham of Smyrna, brothers and sister-in-laws; Earl and Diane Popham and Windfred and Virgina Popham, all of Cartersville and Jerry Popham of Euharlee. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 1999, from the Macedonia Baptist Church, near Euharlee, with Rev. Rick Hurst and Rev. Paul Battles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Dennis Worthington, Sammy Morris, Sonny Jackson, Tommy Brown, Billy Jordan and Johnny Jordan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 till 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, is in charge of the arrangements.
