Mr. Joseph Lewis (Buddy) Pritchett, 66, of Acworth, formerly of Cherokee County, Ala. passed away on Jan. 3, 1999, at his residence.

Mr. Pritchett was a native of Cherokee County.  The son of the late Howard and Ruth Farley Pritchett, Sr. He was a veteran and of the Baptist faith.  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley #2 Cemetery.

Survivors include sisters, Martha Hobbs, of Centre, Ala., Betty Ford, of Acworth; brother, Howard Pritchett Jr of Cedar Bluff, Ala; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association of the family will accept flowers.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday.

Perry Funeral Home in Centre, Ala. is in charge of the arrangements.
