Riddie Imo (Granny) Puckett, 90, of Crestwood Road, Cartersville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998.

Mrs. Puckett was born on July 14, 1908 in Gadsden, Alabama, daughter of the late James Oliver McIntyre and Cynthia J. King McIntyre, was retired from McConnell Cloth Shop and was a member of Emerson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Puckett Sr., a daughter, Riddie Jo Puckett and by brothers and sisters, Jerry Mar McIntyre, James K. McIntyre, Edna A. Roberson, Elizabeth McIntyre, Cary Gladys McIntyre, Toddie Mae Smith, Mattie Agnes McIntyre and Robert Ervin McIntyre.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Julia Puckett of Cartersville, Sue and Jerry Bevil of Emerson, son and daughter-in-law, Charles Jr. and Donna Puckett of Cartersville, grandchildren, David and Debora Ferguson, Cindy and Luck Watford, Steven and Maranatha Puckett, Lynne Bevil, Lamar and Tana Bevil of Columbia, SC, great-grandchildren, Phillip, Felicia and Jason Ferguson and Taylor Bevil, great-great-grandchild, Alexia.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 29 at 2 o'clock from the Emerson Baptist Church with the Rev. Luke Lane officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and deacons of Emerson Baptist Church.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
