In Death They Were Not Divided. Last Friday night one of Cartersville’s oldest citizens passed away when Mr. J. J. Robinson breathed his last. He was a South Carolinian by birth and training but came to Cartersville many years ago. He was a respected member of the Baptist church. On Saturday afternoon, he was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery. At the time of his death, his wife was lying very ill, and she survived her husband only three days, dying during Monday night. She was also a member of the Baptist church, and Dr. Dobbs conducted the funeral services of each. Her body was laid in the same grave by the side of her husband. She was the mother of Mr. J. G. Broughton and a number of daughters, who mourn her loss. |
