Jas. Robinson, a colored man, met with a fatal accident on Saturday last. He was somewhat intoxicated and boarded the train for the purpose of bidding the Dalton firemen goodbye. After the train had started he attempted to jump off and was thrown under the train, the wheels cutting off one leg and part of one foot. Dr. Baker performed the necessary amputation, but the poor man died a few days afterwards. |
