Death of an Old Citizen.

On the morning of the 4th inst., Thomas J. Rogers quietly passed away at his home near Rogers’ Station.  He had been greatly afflicted for years and bed-ridden for the last four and one half years.

He fought through the civil war in the confederate army, and carried scars from many battles.  He had for many years been a member of the Baptist church at Cassville.  He was 77 years of age, a brother of R. L. and M. M. Rogers, of this county.  The remains were interred at Oak Hill cemetery.
