Recent Deaths in Cherokee.

Since the beginning of the new year, several of our friends in Cherokee have been called to their long home.

KENNEDY RUTLEDGE

Son of B. E. Rutledge, died of brain fever, after a short illness, on the 4th inst., aged about 16 years.  We tender the afflicted parents and friends our heartfelt sympathies in their sad bereavement, and hope that they may find relief from sorrow in the consolations of religion.  Thus the old, the middle-aged, and the young, are passing away, and the solemn warning, “Be ye also ready,” comes to all, and should be heeded ere it be too late.
