Death of Mr. J. H. Schulte.

Died, Sunday last, at 11 A. M., at his residence near Cartersville, after a lingering illness of over three years, John H. Schulte in the 49th year of his age. The deceased was a native of Charleston, S. C. About the year 1866 he engaged in business in the office of the News and Courier the first paper started in Charleston after the war. For ten years he filled his duties with that diligence and ability which commanded the respect and confidence of all with whom he was connected. At the end of that time he deemed it to his interest to attach himself to the Journal of Commerce, where he remained as long as it was published. His duties in both situations were arduous and exhausting, and his health finally gave way when he made the move to Georgia with the vain hope of its re-establishment.
