Know all men by these presents that we, Elias G. Scott, Joseph Shaw, John O. Scott, Burrell H. C. Bomar, Nimrod Scott, Teleman Cuyler, Alexander Bishop, Thomas J. Scott, Allen H. Scott, and Charles A. Hamilton are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, the Governor of said State, for the time being, and to his successors in office in the just and full sum of one thousand dollars, for the payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 5th day of October, 1852.

The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Elias G. Scott shall personally appear before the Superior Court, to be held for said county on the second Monday in March next, then and there to answer the State aforesaid, for and concerning the murder of ___ Seay, with which the said Elias G. Scott stands charged before me, and shall not depart thence without leave of the Court, then this obligation to be void—else to remain in full force.

On motion of counsel it is ordered that Elias G. Scott, James O. Scott, Burrell H. C. Bomar, Nimrod Scott, Alexander Bishop, Thomas J. Scott, Allen W. Scott, Charles A. Hamilton, Jonathan McDow and ___ Shaw, administrator and Administratrix of Joseph Shaw, deceased, and Charles A. Hamilton, administrator of Telemon Cuyler, deceased, show cause on the first day of the next term of this Court why the foregoing copy bond should not be established in lieu of the original, which is lost, and that a copy of this bond and rule nisi be published once a month for four months in the Cassville Standard.
