R.L. Sellers, a well-known and highly respected citizen of this county, died of apoplexy at his home at Emerson, Monday, January 20th, 1919, after only a few hours illness. He was 74 years of age and leaves to mourn his loss a wife and four children, Miss Maude and J.W. Sellers, of Emerson, Mrs. J.L. Bowlineau of Birmingham, Alabama, and W.H. Sellers of Atlanta, all of whom were at his bedside when the death came. The deceased was a veteran of the sixties, losing his right arm in June ’64 in the battle around Kennesaw Mountain. He was a member of P.M.B. Young Camp, Confederate Veterans. [NOTES: Wife is Sarah E. Sellers. Robert is buried at Emerson Cemetery.] |
