Death of Mrs. A. H. Small. Came Up From Macon to Visit Her Mother Mrs. Arthur Davis. Mrs. A. H. Small died at the home of her sister Mrs. L. W. Reeves, Jr., whom she was visiting, near Stilesboro, last Sunday morning. Mrs. Small was the daughter of Mrs. Arthur Davis, and as Miss Addie Davis, was one of the most popular young ladies in the county in her girlhood. She was married to Mr. A. H. Small, of Macon, on November 9 th 1887 and since that time has made her home in Macon. She same to this county a few days before Christmas to spend the holidays with her mother and at the time she was taken sick, was spending the day with her sister Mrs. Reeves, and was unable to return to her mother’s home, which was close by. Her illness rapidly assumed a serious turn, and resulted in her death at the time above stated. Mrs. Small was thirty-six years old, and leaves a devoted husband and two children to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother. The funeral occurred on Monday from Raccoon church conducted by Rev. J. L. White, pastor of the First Baptist church of Macon, and Dr. W. H. Patterson of this city, and the remains were laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery in this city. The casket was covered with numerous beautiful floral offerings. |
