Death of Mr. Joel T. Smith.

We regret to chronicle the death of the above gentleman from consumption on the 18th inst. He was but recently a citizen of Eufaula, Alabama and came to Bartow with the view of improving his health.  He has left his wife and two children to mourn his loss.  Though among comparative strangers, he and his family received every attention. The widow and orphans, though unknown to us have profound sympathy.  We had preferred a more extended notice of the deceased but the want of space crowds it out.
