In Memoriam.

Died at her home, near Cassville, on the 19th day of January, 1891, Mrs. Nancy Smith, aged sixty-five years.

Sister Smith had been a consistent member of the Cross Roads Baptist church for many years and was loved by all who knew her. She was truly a good neighbor, a kind and affectionate mother and a devoted Christian. She raised fourteen children—seven step-children and seven of her own, all of whom she led by her exemplary life to know the Lord, except one, and her last word to her pastor was, “pray for my boy.” Sister Smith was much afflicted for many years but bore it with great patience.

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. They rest from their labors and their works do follow them.”
