Trammell Starr

Prominent North Georgian Passes Away Last Week,

At His Home IN Dalton.

His sickness was blood poison and lasted ten weeks—sketch of his life

 

Hon. Trammell Starr, well known through out north Georgia as a leading lawyer and public spirited citizen, died at his home in Dalton, last Thursday morning, of blood poison, from which he had suffered for ten weeks.

The following sketch of Mr. Starr is taken from the Dalton Argus:

“ Col. Trammell Starr was born in Gordon county, October 18 th, 1858. His father was John Henry Starr, and his mother’s maiden name was Miss Rosetta Trammell (sister of Col. L. N. Trammell) a worthy couple of highly respected, God fearing people. [Article continues, includes pens and ink portrait. He married Miss Onie Kelly in 1884; he leaves 3 children]
