A Sad Death.
Mrs. Stegall Passes Away While Visiting Her Daughter.

Mrs. Stegall, the wife of Mr. John P. Stegall, of Emerson, died Monday of last week, 13th instant, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Abromson, at Adairsville. rs. Stegall had been in poor health for some time.  She went to visit her daughter, and was taken badly sick a week after her arrival, and died two weeks thereafter.

Mrs. Stegall was a most estimable lady.  As wife and mother, she was dutiful, kind and thoughtful.  She possessed a ladylike bearing and sunny nature that won the good will and respect of all with whom she came in contact.  She was a conscientious, Christian, a faithful and useful member of the Baptist church which she joined when 12 years of age.

Mrs. Stegall was originally Miss Justina Williams.  She was born in East Tennessee May 7, 1847, and was married to Mr. Stegall at her home at Kingston, July 23, 1866.

She leaves besides her husband, four children, they are: Mrs. W. O. Henderson, of Stilesboro; Wallace E. Stegall; Mrs. Sallie Abromson, of Adairsville; and Paul E. Stegall, who is at home.  She has two brothers living, one in Texas and one in Indian Territory.

She was buried at Emerson cemetery on the 15th, Rev. A. W. Beaver conducting the funeral services.
