Died.

At her residence near Allatoona, in this county, on the 2nd instant, Mrs. Sarah Stegall, mother of our esteemed friend, Emsley Stegall, in the 73rd year of her age.  For a number of years prior to her death she was a pious and acceptable member of the Methodist E. Church South.  She was a model woman; one who lived in the service of her God, and who is now gone to reap the reward of the just, in heaven above.

Why do we mourn departed friends—
Or shake at death’s alarms?
‘Tis but the voice that Jesus sends
To call us to his arms.
