DEATH OF MRS. J. M. STEPHENS.

This esteemed lady died at her residence in this place on Saturday the 5th of August, after a long and painful illness in the 58th year of her age.  Her remains were taken to Canton where they were interred by the side of relations.  Mrs. Stephens left a family of eight children to mourn her loss.  She had been a consistent member of the Baptist church 38 years.
