Death of Mrs. Stephens.

Mrs. Olivia Stephens, the wife of Mr. John A. Stephens, died at her home in this city, on Thursday evening last at 7 o’clock, after an illness of only six days.

Mrs. Stephens was formerly Miss Olivia Eaves, the daughter of Mr. Nathaniel S. Eaves. She had been a member of the Methodist church for seventeen years and was a good Christian lady. She was a dutiful and affectionate wife and mother, and leaves a husband and three interesting little girls, Eva age 7, Al??, aged 5 [word cut off by fold], and Isabel, aged 2. To these her taking off is a sad visitation and the sympathies of the community go out to the father and little ones in their bereavement.

The funeral services took place Friday, Rev. B. P. Allen, assisted by Rev. W. H. Patterson, officiating.
