Three Deaths at Stilesboro.

The good people of Stilesboro have been greatly distressed the past few weeks over the appearance of diphtheria in their neighborhood and the victims it has claimed.

Three brothers, Robert, Henry and Jack Taff, have each lost a child, all of them being between one and two years old, and all dying within eleven days. There is another case in one of the families, but it is now under control and hopes expressed that the child will recover.

The schools have been broken up for the present by the appearance of the dread disease, and every effort is being exerted to prevent its spreading.

The community deeply sympathize with the families which have been so greatly afflicted.
